Unique V-Shaped Digital LED Sign for Sir Keith Park Specialist School
WiPath Communications recently completed a unique School LED Sign installation for Sir Keith Park Specialist School, featuring two high-resolution outdoor Digital LED Signs mounted in a custom V-shaped structure.
Each LED display measures 2250mm wide × 1250mm high and uses 3.91mm pixel pitch RGB technology, providing clear, vibrant and highly visible digital content for students, parents, staff and the wider school community.
The two Outdoor LED Displays are positioned in a V-shaped arrangement and supported by a purpose-built galvanised and powder-coated steel structure. This design provides excellent visibility from different directions while creating a distinctive entrance feature for the school.
The project also included a new ground-screw foundation system, removal of the school’s existing sign, anti-vandal protection, cloud-based content management and staff training.

A Unique V-Shaped School LED Sign
The key feature of this project is the V-shaped LED sign structure.
Instead of installing a conventional single-face Digital LED Sign, WiPath designed a structure supporting two individual LED displays positioned at an angle to provide visibility from different approaches to the school.
Each face measures 2250mm wide × 1250mm high, giving the school two large, high-resolution digital communication displays.
The structure was designed with three steel mounting posts, providing a strong and stable foundation for both LED signs. The engineering layout incorporates the V-shaped configuration shown in the project design, with the two sign faces positioned to provide broad viewing coverage.
Both signs feature 3.91mm pixel pitch RGB full-colour LED technology.
The high-resolution School LED Sign provides clear text, graphics, photographs and promotional content while maintaining strong visibility in an outdoor environment.

The Digital LED Sign can display text, JPEG, TIFF and PNG images, animated GIFs and AVI video clips, subject to applicable council requirements.
Custom Ground-Screw Foundation and V-Shaped Structure
As part of the installation, WiPath carried out sub-surface detection before construction to identify underground services and help ensure the new foundation could be installed safely.
The existing school sign was removed and disposed of before the new structure was installed.
Three ground screws were installed for the new V-shaped structure:
SGC 89mm × 2000mm × 18mm Adapter Screws
The steel structure was fabricated specifically for this project and finished with hot-dip galvanising and powder coating to provide a durable exterior finish.
The uploaded project design shows the three-post arrangement and the V-shaped geometry used for the two LED displays.
Anti-Vandal and Weather Protection
Because the School LED Sign is installed outdoors, protection against weather and physical impact was an important part of the design.
Each LED display is enclosed in a weatherproof aluminium frame with a 4.5mm polycarbonate front cover.
