This project involved the complete design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and training for a new double-sided Church LED Sign mounted within a custom ACM-clad plinth structure.
The installation provides the church with a highly visible Digital Signage solution that improves communication while creating a modern and welcoming entrance.
Modern Church LED Sign Installation for Mangere Pacific Islands Presbyterian Church
WiPath Communications successfully completed the installation of a modern Digital LED Sign for Mangere Pacific Islands Presbyterian Church in Auckland, delivering a high-quality Church LED Sign designed to improve communication with church members, visitors, and the wider community.
Completed in December 2022, this project involved the design, manufacture, and installation of a custom-built double-sided Outdoor LED Display featuring 6mm pixel pitch technology. The new Church Digital Signage Solution enables the church to display service times, community announcements, upcoming events, inspirational messages, emergency notices, and seasonal celebrations in vibrant full colour.
Designed specifically for long-term outdoor performance, the Digital LED Sign combines durable construction, modern cloud-based content management, and an attractive architectural finish that complements the church entrance.

Custom Architectural Plinth Design
One of the unique features of this Church LED Sign project is its architecturally designed ACM-clad plinth structure.
Unlike a traditional pole-mounted installation, the LED display is integrated into a custom-built plinth finished with premium ACM cladding and high-quality vinyl graphics.

The completed structure provides an attractive entrance feature while maintaining excellent visibility from both directions of approaching traffic.
Manufacturing and Assembly
The complete Digital LED Sign was manufactured and assembled at WiPath’s Auckland workshop.
The manufacturing process included:
- Fabrication of the aluminium LED cabinets
- Assembly of the double-sided display
- Construction of the custom plinth
- Installation of ACM cladding
- Vinyl wrapping and graphics
- Control system configuration
- Factory testing and commissioning
Each component underwent quality assurance testing before transportation to site to ensure reliable long-term performance.
Foundation and Site Preparation
Before installation commenced, a full underground service investigation was completed to identify any existing utility services.
Following the site survey, the foundation system was constructed using two engineered ground screw foundations supporting a reinforced concrete plinth.
This foundation system provides a stable platform for the custom Church Digital Signage structure while ensuring long-term structural integrity.
The completed concrete plinth was prepared before the arrival of the LED display, allowing efficient installation on site.
Installation Process
Once manufacturing was completed, the entire Digital LED Sign structure was transported from WiPath’s warehouse to Mangere Pacific Islands Presbyterian Church.
Using a crane, the completed sign assembly was carefully lifted into position and installed onto the prepared foundation.

- Crane-assisted lifting
- Precise positioning onto the concrete plinth
- Alignment of support posts
- Mechanical fixing to engineered ground screw foundations
- Eight heavy-duty bolts securing each support post
- Electrical connection
- System commissioning
- Final testing
The installation was completed efficiently with minimal disruption to church activities.
